How do I order from your site?

Making a purchase from our site is very straightforward. You can navigate through the site by using the links on the left hand side of page, or by using the search box on the right of the page. Once you have found the products you require click on the 'Add to Basket' button located below the product. This will add your product to the basket and return you to the page you were viewing. You can check your basket at any time by clicking on 'View Basket' at the top right of the page as shown in the example below. As you will see, this also shows you a total for your basket and how many items you have. Once you are ready to place your order click on 'Checkout' PLEASE NOTE: While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of cancelling or changing your order. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. Goods are not charged until they are despatched so you will never pay more than you expect.

How much is delivery?

Delivery charges are as follows:- Delivery is FREE on all orders over £25.00. Orders under £25.00 will be charged at £2.50. Orders will generally be shipped by Parcel Force although some smaller items may be shipped by Royal Mail The only conditions are detailed below. * - Delivery charges are applicable to UK Mainland only. This is an INTERNET ONLY OFFER. Where necessary we may need to charge customers in remote areas (i.e Northern Scotland) or offshore (i.e Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey, Orkney, Shetland etc) a carriage surcharge. You will be advised of any extra carriage after your order is placed. Any surcharge will be charged at our net cost and will override our stated carriage charges. On rare occasions some heavy or bulky items like posts, snooker tables etc may also be subject to extra carriage charges, again you will be advised of this once we have received your order.

How do I pay for my order?

We accept secure credit card payment. At the moment you can pay by Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Maestro, Electron or Solo. Under normal circumstances we do not charge your credit/debit card for any item until it is ready to despatch*. Any items we have to back order will not be charged until they are despatched. We only charge for what we send you at any one time. Should you qualify for a carriage charge this will only be charged once, regardless of how many deliveries we make. Please do not worry about entering your credit/debit card details through our web site. We currently use 128 bit industry standard security and know of no known cases of fraud against the software we use. You can check our security by clicking on the padlock symbol on your browser or by visiting our security page here. *When we make deliveries direct from our suppliers for made to order/larger items such as Goals, Mats, Group tentage etc we normally charge your card at the time of order. You will be advised of this in advance and given the chance to change or cancel your order at that time.

How will my order be despatched?

We currently use Parcel Force to deliver your goods. Parcel Force offer secure, quick and reliable deliveries throughout the United Kingdom. For some smaller items we may use Royal Mail Special Delivery or Recorded Delivery

How long does delivery take?

Deliveries will normally arrive within 3-4 working days from order date. Some heavy/bulky items may take longer. PLEASE NOTE: A signature will be required for your delivery. Please ensure you supply us with an address where someone will be available during working hours to sign for the parcel. If you would prefer, you can give us a work address instead of your home. This option is available within the checkout.

Tax Information

All orders are subject to UK VAT @ 17.5% where appropriate. Exceptions to this are orders for kids clothing etc which is not vat applicable and Fuel/books etc which is subject to 5% VAT.

WEEE Regulations

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment. The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge. The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. "Much of the UK's WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. "Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill. Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites. Sports Warehouse (Edinburgh) Ltd is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us. For example, if a customer bought a new torch from us we would accept their old torch and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item. Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol shown below: Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.
